U.S. Government's Human Research Legacy

The U.S. Government’s track record of illegal unethical human subject experimentation research programs:

Radiation experimentations
- directly injecting plutonium and other radioactive elements to mostly terminal patients without consent
- feeding radioactive traces to children
- enlisting doctors to administer radioactive iron to impoverished pregnant women
- exposing U.S. soldiers and prisoners to high levels of radiation
- irradiating the testicles of prisoners, which caused severe birth defects
- exhuming bodies from graveyards to test them for radiation (without consent)

Those are just a few of the known atrocities that the U.S. Government has conducted or directly involved in with many of their victims being poor, racial minorities, children, mentally ill, or prisoners.

The CIA's Long Disturbing History

The Rockefeller Commission (1975) and the Church Committee (1976) discussed the Agency’s testing of drugs on unwitting subjects, even children, in the 1950s and 1960s, particularly the (Project Artichoke) MKULTRA program. According to the investigators, Agency officials explored “additional avenues to the control of human behavior,” including “radiation, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, electroshock, psychology, psychiatry, sociology, anthropology, graphology, harassment, electrodes, torture, and paramilitary devices and materials.” After purchasing the world’s entire supply of LSD (1,000,000 doses) they used multiple front organizations to infiltrate and corrupt more than 80 universities, hospitals, and prisons convincing professionals do most of the work. Some victims were kept on LSD for over 70 days in a row or left sensory deprived long enough they needed to be re-toilet trained. On their own they had magicians teach them how to slip unwitting victims drugs going as far as to develop an aerosol spray system and even dosing cigarettes. There were other Projects as well: MKNAOMI, MKDELTA, MKOFTEN, MKSEARCH, MKCHICKWIT, THIRD CHANCE, and DERBY HAT. Absolutely destroying innocent victim’s lives for over 20yrs with all local law enforcement, FBI, and DoD being complicit.
